Mr. Warcop has a solid background in criminal law and regulatory matters, having been both a Crown Prosecutor and Defense Counsel. With over a decade of legal experience, Mr. Warcop has handled a variety of cases from thefts, frauds, assaults, domestics, drinking and driving offences, to homicides and everything in between.

Originally from Glace Bay, Mr. Warcop graduated in 2000 from Dalhousie University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, Double Advance Major, in Psychology and Sociology. In 2004 he graduated from Queen’s University law school.

Mr. Warcop articled with Heller, Rubel in Toronto, concentrating on criminal and quasi criminal law, and joined the firm as a junior partner a year later. In 2006, he was appointed as an Assistant Crown Attorney in Toronto, Trial Division, by the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General. He transferred to the Newmarket Crown Attorney Office in 2010 to continue his career as an Assistant Crown Attorney; remaining with the Trial Division. Two years later, Mr. Warcop took on the role of case management Crown in the Newmarket office before relocating to Nova Scotia in 2015 to continue work as a Senior Crown Attorney with the Halifax office.
